Driving directions
Look out for our sign…
By car/van small truck
From Usk
Leave Usk on Maryport
Street, heading south past the prison and simply keep going for about 6 miles.
After about 2 miles you will start to climb and eventually you will
reach the top of the hill in Wentwood Forest.
Then as you descend, after no more than half a mile, Wentwood Timber
Centre is on the left immediately past three forestry cottages. If you reach the reservoir you have gone too
far.
From Newport or M4 junction 24
From Junction 24 of the M4 (Coldra) head towards Penhow on
the Chepstow Road (A48).
After 3 miles turn left into Parc Seymour
(opposite Groes Wenn
Inn). Continue past small shop on the
left to the end of the housing area and keep going straight (sat nav may suggest turning right just before this –
From the East – Chepstow,
Severn bridge etc
It is best
to use the old Severn bridge and leave the motorway at exit 2 (signposted Chepstow), then after about a mile when you reach the
roundabout take the first left onto the A48
(signposted Penhow) this is the Chepstow/Newport
road. From this road there are at least
six roads on the right which could take you to Wentwood Timber Centre, but the
best one to use is the one immediately after Caerwent
signposted Llanfair Discoed. Follow this road into Llanfair Discoed where
it ends and turn right. You are now on
the Usk road which goes right to the Timber Centre
(shortly after the reservoir, on the right next to three forestry cottages).
By curtainside

Drivers of large lorries
beware: although
Wentwood Timber Centre is on a decent road many of the roads a sat nav may suggest using to get there are tiny winding lanes. The following routes are suitable for just
about any size truck under 15ft high.
